The game is an RPGMaker VX Ace game, albeit with a fair number of customisations. As you can see, the menu is fairly standard, although it does have some stylish character portraits. The pictures also change depending on the characters current outfit.

Yashimakamuro, Wind Spirit

One major deviaion from standard RPGMaker are the Guardian Spirits. Each character can be assigned a Guardian Spirit, which changes the characters class. Here we have the Wind Spirit, Yashimakamuro (boosts Magic and Speed, grants Wind elemental and Status Ailment techniques), and the Fire Spirit, Hyakume (boosts Defence and Attack, grants Fire elemental attacks and techniques).

Changing class by using the Guardian Spirit system influences characters stats as well as the skills they have access to. The statistics a character has are Attack, Spirit, Defence, Speed, Sexual Resistance and Debauchery - and the last two can only be increased through H-events and H-attacks. It's pretty unlikely they'll stay at their initial values.

Equipment fall into the following categories: Weapon, Outfit, Body, Spirit and Accessory.

For those into this kind of thing, the game has a fairly comprehensive sex stats system. NewMoonLabel have stated on their blog that it is possible for Yatsuha (the protagonist) to retain her virginity in the game, although they believe it will be unlikely due to H-attacks in combat. However, other characters will have forced H-scenes with penetration in the story, so don't expect any other character to be able to retain their chastity.

There is an element of loosening morals in the game, with the heroines each have 4 levels of reaction to adult situations (5 for the protagonist, Yatsuha). The picture shows Shigure at her second level of perversity. (These are capped at 2 in the demo - 3 for Yatsuha).

You won't always have a full party, and getting knocked down with your privates showing is not fun...

But sometimes everything goes well.

As one can see from the above, there's a good variety of pictures for the party. NewMoonLabel gave an estimate that there are more than 200 such pictures, and they change pretty frequently. The above pictures show off a good deal of poses, as well as a good deal of clothing destruction. Speaking of which...

There's also some cut-in pictures, which constitute the 4th type of H-scene. Here we have clothing destruction and combat tentacle rape. Poor Yatsuha! At least she's cumming. Also note that upper and lower body clothing is destroyed separately. Anyway, moving along with the enemies H-attacks...

Enemy combat H-attacks work by enemies grabbing one of the party members and then having their way with them. The party does have the opportunity to resist, but here their TP becomes important. TP in this game refers to (sexual) Tension Points - the higher a characters TP, the harder they'll find it to escape.

TP isn't all bad though. Your party members also have their own H-skills, which require TP to execute. One of these is the masturbation skill, which boosts MP (because of course masturbating during a fight is sensible). As one can see, the girls can also be impregnated by their enemies.

Oh, and if a party member runs out of HP and faints? They can still be targeted by H-attacks, and they won't be able to resist.

All things set? Get ready...

The above images demonstrate a link attack, where multiple characters deliver a single strike. As one would expect, these attacks are pretty powerful. Link attacks can also be affected by other factors; here Shigure is getting super motivated from seeing her girlfriends bare crotch. The perv...

Oh. Wow. This... escalated quickly.

Some enemies won't stop at raping our heroines, but will swallow them for torment before eventually spitting them back out. Also the girls can help each other, although at least in the beginning, they'll only put themselves at risk for their closest friends.

Gimmicks and H-Scenes

Trap Scene: Crotch Bead-rope Machine Trap

Traps: While you enter dungeons with 0 TP. While TP is normally easiest to gain in battle, it can also be raised by traps in the dungeon - the fifth type of H-scene in the game. Just try to make sure the traps don't do anything too extreme.

There's also items that raise TP. Maybe these are better for a more chaste adventuring experience.

H-Scenes: In addition to trap based and battle scenes, there are three other important types of H-scene.

Scenario H-scenes advance a particular scenario. Scenario's typically start with an H-scene or other event.

Defeat Scenes may occur when the Nightmare Girls are defeated in combat. They don't always happen though; it depends on where they fall in battle.

Base Scenes occur between party members at the base. They deepen the relationship between characters; our example base scene features Yatsuha and her girlfriend finally trying out some adult stuff together.

Of the main characters, Yatsuha has the most H-scenes, followed by Yue, then Shigure and finally Kokia.

Impregnation and Eggs

The Impregnation/Egg System

During battle, enemies can try to impregnate or lay eggs inside our heroines. This has some consequences for them out in the field. They might even birth something. If they return to base carrying something inside them, then the decontamination process will sort it out. Or, more or less, anyway. There might be some child monsters left over when all is said an done.

The Yamanashi Energy Reseach Institute will take care of any child monsters, sending them to a ranch which the girls can visit. At the ranch, the girls can offer to feed the monsters. What would they feed them...? Well, guess...

Outfits

[Yue] "It's decided! Let's run! We need to get to the seal first!"

[Yatsuha] "I guess I could buy some at the convenience store in front of the station..."

While it isn't a focus of the game, the main characters do have multiple outfits. Yue is from a long lineage of priestess's, and dresses the part from time to time.

Meanwhile, Yatsuha is known to just lounge around in her undies.

Showers and Smalltalk

[Yatsuha] "That feels kinda lewd, doesn't it...?"

[Shigure] "You say that now, but you were the one who wanted to do it, Yatsuha..."

[Yue] "I sort of get the top is kinda like what a priestess might wear, but why does my outfit only have half a skirt!?"

After a mission, the girls will hit the showers. Cheap fan service? Maybe, but it's a good chance for the girls to have a chat about what happened. But not in these pictures, which are spoiler free.

NewMoonLabel have said that this is to recapture the feel of one of their earlier games, Lily Knight Saga, which had a similar feature to develop the characters.

Of course, there are surveilance cameras in the showers. The girls are under very, very close monitoring, all around the clock. It's important for the scientists of the research institute to have good data, after all.

They did agree to being monitored 24/7. Even if they didn't read the fine print. Hopefully they're OK with it.

In a related note, one of the denizens of the nightmare realm, the Gazer, looks over the mortal world. The Gazer observes women in humiliating situations, records them, and uploads the video to a corner of the dark web. There's nothing anyone can do to stop it.

All Yamanashi Research Institute can do is to monitor the site, and use takedown notices to try and stop the videos of their investigators from ending up all over the Internet.
